July Julep Maven Box

Hey guys,

So things have been kind of crazy lately, I feel like I go into every weekend being like YAY no plans - relaxing time. Nope, I feel like I've been going non-stop. I've also been super emotional for the past few days, then today when I heard that we found a buyer for my Dad's truck for some reason that got me super choked up. I guess this is all part of the healing process right?

Sorry I had to get that out and I feel like you guys pretty much just understand me. I also broke a nail down to the quick today. Thank goodness it was on my Cinderella hand. I was heaving a giant bag around and didn't even notice when it happened. Oh well.

Today I have my July Julep Maven box to show you.
This month I got the It Girl box.

The It Girl box came with 3 polishes and Facial blotting papers which I haven't tried yet so I can't comment on.

First up is what Julep bills as one of their "molten" polishes best I can grasp is that's a shimmer in a black base. I really like the way this one looks although I don't think it's anything ground breaking.
This was two coats.

Next is what I like to call a "Tweety-Bird Yellow" it still weirds me out that Tweety Bird is a boy. That just seems so weird in my brain. Sorry that thought got a little bit away from me.
This polish was a bit on the sheer side so I did 3 coats. You can still see some VNL in the pics but in real life it wasn't noticeable.

So up next is Julep's take on textured polish. Their Sea Salt polish Tracy. I really liked the colour along with the pewter blue were smaller bright teal mini glitters that are incredibly subtle but really add some depth. This applied like normal textured polish, one thin coat followed by a thicker one. The finish on this one almost seemed more like an incredi-glitter-bomb than textured though.
