China Glaze - Teal The Tide Turns

Hey guys,

I hope everyone had a great weekend, I sure did, I got to hang out with some great friends and instead of working on whittling down my tv show queue I decided it was a good time to start watching a couple more shows since I am a glutton for punishment.

I have what I believe is the last Sea Goddess polish to show you today. This one was in the same sort of creamier vein of Sand Dolla Make You Holla. I really liked this one. Again it's a perfect mermaid-y polish.
This was three coats.

China Glaze - Tail Me Something

Hey guys,

So it was super hot today, and of course the weather man was threatening crazy thunderstorms all afternoon. Well it's 8:00 and we have yet to see a storm. Our power did go out earlier, and I am fairly certain that my family is insane, instead of hanging out downstairs where it is nice and cool they're upstairs sweating their faces off. Not that I'm complaining because I love being left alone.

So I can't say the name of this polish without also singing "Tell Me Something Good" in my head or at least humming it. Anyone with me? This was one of my surprise favourites in the Sea Goddess collection. I don't know why I wasn't expecting to love this one like I did but wow, it just seems very mermaid-y to me. This was 2 coats.

China Glaze - Shell We Dance

Hey guys,

So we finally got a new farrier out to the barn today, and he was nice enough to bring his helper who is a TOTAL fox, and apparently he was laughing at my jokes, and I couldn't see a wedding ring so I'll be excited to see him again. I'm going to have to make more of an effort to be around for farrier day.

So when I posted the first Sea Goddess polish I said I wasn't able to get Shell We Dance, but I am a liar. I meant that I wasn't able to get Wish Upon a Starfish. That being said this is the shimmery pink polish in the collection, I believe that Wish Upon A Starfish is brighter, but I wouldn't really know because I couldn't get my hands on it. This was three coats.

China Glaze - Sand Dolla Make You Holla

Hey guys,

So I have had a great day today, on my accidental day off, I actually got to go ride my horse because I actually caught him. Always a good day when I can catch him. I fly out tomorrow for my cousin's wedding so there won't be a post tomorrow.

I have another polish from the Sea Goddess collection. Before I wore them all this was my favourite in the collection. It's a super pale pink base with rainbow micro glitters. This didn't wind up being my favourite in real life but I did really like this one. My camera however HATED it. So bear with me and the crappy pics.
This is three coats.

China Glaze - Kiwi Cool-Ada

Hey guys,

So today at work my entire department was off on a course with the exception of me and my coworker, it was like a ghost town on our floor. And then I have tomorrow off as well, since I forgot that I had booked it off. Whoops. Of course if I was smart I would have booked Monday off because Tuesday is a holiday but I definitely didn't realize that.

This is a polish I had waffled over for a long time, it is a bright lime green, it's much brighter in real life, for some reason my camera wanted nothing to do with the brightness of this. It's a neon so it was fairly sheer. It would have been better over a white base but I wanted to see how it would build up.
This is four coats.

China Glaze - Seahorsin' Around

Hey guys,

So it's been a fairly dark week for me so far, yesterday my father's horse (my horse now) Timmi passed away. Just two weeks short of the one month anniversary of my Dad passing away. We aren't entirely sure why, it was likely a blood clot or a stroke, but it was quick and peaceful. I spent all day yesterday at the farm with my coach and her family and some very good friends. The day was filled with more laughing than tears.
It is with this that I say goodbye to my sweet boy Timmi

And on a lighter note I have one of the China Glaze Sea Goddess polishes to show you today. I waited too long to buy these so I was only able to get 5 of the 6 since it was impossible to get my hands on Shell We Dance. This is the gorgeous sea blue in the collection. Application was nice here, this is 2 coats. However this stained like a mofo on removal.

China Glaze - Keep Calm, Paint On

Hey guys,

So I just got home a couple hours ago from a horse show and was able to finally sit down and maybe catch up on a few episodes of something (backstory: A couple months ago I downloaded an app that tracks the tv shows I watch and let me know how many unwatched episodes. My unwatched count of shows I am at this moment currently watching is 311 episodes.) Well instead of getting in an episode or two of The Good Wife or Psych, what do I do? Start watching The 100. Yup instead of chipping away at the excessively large number of episodes I need to watch, I begin a new show.  I'm shaking my head at myself.

This is a polish that came out LAST spring that I really wanted but it just never made it on the "HAVE TO BUY NOW" list so I finally picked this up with my reward points from NPC. I won't lie the name is what caught my attention. This is a mint green with a very light shimmer. Honestly I heard some mixed reviews on the formula here, but I had no problems. This was two coats.

China Glaze - Sweet Hook

Hey guys,

So I don't know what it is like for you guys, but I swear everyone around me is suffering from the plague. SICKNESS everywhere, anyways I'm doing my absolute best to not get sick. Lots of tea, Cold FX and vitamin C for this girl.

So I couple weeks back I picked up from reward polishes from NPC, one of them is this pretty pinky-purple creme. This is from the Electropop collection. And was very nice, I can definitely see myself wearing this under glitter or as part of some nail art. Formula was a bit patchy, some nails needed 3 coats while 2 was fine for others.

China Glaze - It's A Trap-eze!

Hey guys.

So when I initially saw this polish I hated it. I was like euw who would ever want to wear that?
Yet people were going BATCRAP crazy over it so I thought the whole polish universe had probably gone mad.
Then the more I saw it the more it sort of grew on me. So when NPC got a surprise shipment in I figured it was now or never!

When I got it I still wasn't 100% convinced. So I wore it and after a day of wear I wanted to be wowed and fall in love. I'm just not sure. I think this would work better as a feature nail or as part of a different mani. It just seems chaotic.

This is two coats. Application wise it wasn't bad the glitter pay off was pretty great.

China Glaze - Shell-o

Hey guys,

Did I save my favourite jelly for last? OF COURSE I DID.
This coral is BEAUTIFUL. A total biotch to photograph because of how bright it is but THAT being said the formula on this one wasn't bad at all especially compared to come of the other ones. Yes I'm looking at you Isle See You Later.

So as this wraps up Sunsational week and it ran longer than I intended I'll give you a sneak peek of whats up for this week.... A England baby!!!

This was 3 coats. Such a fantastic summer colour!

China Glaze - Isle See You Later

Hey guys,

Today I have the only blue in the collection and also the polish with the crummiest formula.
This one was crazy sheer and thin, I don't even know how many coats it would take to build this up to opaque so unless you want some crazy VNL or have supernubs I would probably recommend saving this for jelly sandwiches or just skipping this one altogether.

This was 5 coats. So like I said you be the judge.

China Glaze - Keepin' It Teal

Hey guys,

Yay green jelly! Okay I don't know why I said that as green isn't my favourite colour but that being said I do like this colour.

This was 3 coats. At that point I was happy with the look as I don't mind some VNL on my jellies, another coat maybe could have done it but if you dig this colour and don't want to deal with multiple coats then maybe this would be better saved for sandwiches.

China Glaze - Are You Jelly?

Hey Guys,

Okay so sorry of yesterday's interruption, that should have been planned out better. That being said who doesn't love a random Shark Week interruption? Today we get back to our jellies!

This is the purple in the bunch. This one was a bit patchy (you can kind of tell in the pics) but not nearly the worst to work with by any stretch. I was really trying hard not to go over the same spot more than once which I stink at

This was 3 coats.
