OPI - 50 Years of Style

Hey guys,

So once again I don't have much to say on account of being sick and having a pounding headache. I'm done with being sick seriously. Oh I will say that I'm watching American Ninja Warrior and holy when did Tim Shieff turn into such a fox?

Today I have the next OPI Mustang Mini to show you. This is a gold frost so be careful of brush strokes. Other than that this is a pretty nice gold and actually doesn't clash horribly with my skin tone.
This was two coats.

Piggy Paint - Dragon Scales

Hey guys,

So I have posted the video of myself doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to my facebook page so you can click the link in the sidebar to head to my facebook page to watch it. It's not super exciting although there is that one part where my videographer gets distracted by my dog.

Today we start a series titled "Water-based nail polish is stupid!"
Okay maybe that is a bit harsh but really. About a month ago I ordered a few different Piggy Paint polishes to paint my nieces' nails. I figured these are targeted to kids so why not then I could swatch them at the same time. Well let me tell you I don't care how natural this stuff is WHAT A PAIN IN THE BUTT. Seriously it's streak city. I don't even know how many coats it would take to reach full opacity. This here is four coats. Then if it doesn't just peel off and you have to remove it with remover it is a HUGE PAIN. Piggy Paint does sell it's own remover, that would likely make a difference but who knows. Yeah these are quick drying but honestly just teach your children not to eat their nail polish. "Natural as Mud" well last time I checked we taught our kids not to eat mud either so honestly if you're worried about the chemicals just go for a polish like Zoya or Julep without the harsh chemicals.  I have a few more of these to show you so stay tuned.

Julep - Zoe

Hey guys,

So things have been crazy for me for the past couple days, yesterday I ordered business cards, and all sorts of goodies for my side project of making pyrography stall signs. Eeek three more orders today! I am doing everything in my power to not fall off the face of the planet! Click here to check me out on Facebook!

Today I have a burnt orange/coppery frost polish. This would actually be a great fall polish. Ahh fall, it was so hot and humid outside today (it is NEVER humid here unless it's raining) it was like being inside someone's mouth. So it's humid days like these I get excited about fall. This was a frost so application was a pain because of brush strokes. This was 2 coats.

Julep - Karen

Hey guys,

So today I watched "The Normal Heart" the HBO movie about the AIDS outbreak in the 80's holy crap. Talk about a powerful movie, if you can get your hands on it, I recommend it. Amazing performances from everyone involved. I mean don't get me wrong it is heavy, but a really good watch. Truly heartbreaking.

I've made it known I'm really not a huge fan of peach polish, while pretty peach just screams "90's wedding" to me, or like a "mom" polish. I guess peach has it's place though. Although while there is nothing technically wrong with this peach frost, it just doesn't excite me. This is two coats.
