Yay it's finally the long weekend! I don't know about the rest of you but we get Monday off so I'm pretty excited to have an extra day.

Today I have the very last Piggy Paint to show you then NEVER AGAIN will you see a horrid water based paint on this blog again. This was the only creme I had gotten. I don't know if this makes it better or worse. You can see how streaky it is. This was four coats.

Hey guys,

So I don't know if this happens to anyone else but occasionally I discover bizarre things about myself and it surprises me. Like today I realized I have a thing for bookends. Who knew? I was out at Winners with a friend of mine and I came across a set of bookends that look like two books (One standing up and one on it's side) with the words "Spells" & "Potions" written on each one and an Owl perched on the book on it's side. Anyways so I decided I had to have these eclectic book ends well one was broken. Someone had ripped the owl off the book. Normally I would have been like that sucks but no I had to have these so much I BOUGHT THE BROKEN BOOKEND. And brought it home and fixed it. It looks good as new and with a little hot glue and acrylic paint you can't tell the difference. Really though, Bookends. Who knew?

I have another awful Piggy Paint to show you today. Honestly this colour may have been one of the most disappointing colours I wound up getting I think mostly because I expected this to be much more purple than it is. Even my niece asked "Is this the purple one?" Of course once it's sitting beside the pink it's clearly purple. I think I'm just extremely disappointed in this whole brand. I've run out of anything positive to say. This was four coats. Exact same horrid application and removal.

Hey guys,

Today we continue with the "Water-based polishes suck" series. I don't know what do you guys think? Do you think I'm being too harsh on these? I mean I understand the idea of wanting something a bit more natural but can we really not figure out something with a better less streaky less sheer formula?
Maybe I'm asking too much. This is the neon pink shimmer I got, this has a bit of a blue flash to it and over all I didn't HATE the colour of this. I still hate the formula.

Piggy Paint - Dragon Scales

So I have posted the video of myself doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to my facebook page so you can click the link in the sidebar to head to my facebook page to watch it. It's not super exciting although there is that one part where my videographer gets distracted by my dog.

Today we start a series titled "Water-based nail polish is stupid!"
Okay maybe that is a bit harsh but really. About a month ago I ordered a few different Piggy Paint polishes to paint my nieces' nails. I figured these are targeted to kids so why not then I could swatch them at the same time. Well let me tell you I don't care how natural this stuff is WHAT A PAIN IN THE BUTT. Seriously it's streak city. I don't even know how many coats it would take to reach full opacity. This here is four coats. Then if it doesn't just peel off and you have to remove it with remover it is a HUGE PAIN. Piggy Paint does sell it's own remover, that would likely make a difference but who knows. Yeah these are quick drying but honestly just teach your children not to eat their nail polish. "Natural as Mud" well last time I checked we taught our kids not to eat mud either so honestly if you're worried about the chemicals just go for a polish like Zoya or Julep without the harsh chemicals.  I have a few more of these to show you so stay tuned.
