Supernatural Lacquer - The Four Horsemen Collection

Hey guys,

Soooo yeah it's been a while. I'm still around not dead. Just a little bit under motivated to post.
That being said today I have a whole magnetic collection from Supernatural Lacquer to show you guys.

This collection was inspired by the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse. These were released last Halloween.
Application on these was really nice. I did find I had to hunt for a good magnet, the ones provided with other magnetic polishes I own didn't seem to want to do much. So it was a old Montreal Canadiens jersey magnet I pulled off the fridge.

January Julep Maven Box

Hey guys,

Today I have my January maven box to show you. This months theme was Chrysalis which means change. There are some changes to the maven program this year, they're going to really start focusing on beauty products as much as polish instead of polish with a side of beauty products. We'll see how this goes.

Julep - Nic

Hey guys,

So Christmas lights are up, tree is up, stockings are up. Almost all the gifts are bought. Yet still so much to do. My birthday is almost here!

This is a polish that came as part of one of Julep's Christmas sets. It was this and a red glitter I will show you later this week, in a set named Reindeer Games. This is a deep burgundy wine colour that has a jelly quality I love these types of vampy polishes. This was two coats.

Julep - Aisha

Hey guys,

So I don't know if this happens to anyone else but within the span of a day I can go from not knowing who a musical artist is, to hating them, to being completely obsessed. COMPLETELY OBSESSED. This is what happened with me and Iggy Azalea. I am now obsessed. It's weird. Please tell me this kind of thing happens to you guys too.

I have another really random yet pretty Julep to show you guys today. This has such a fantastic sheen to it, it's almost jelly-like and is a great consistancy. This is two coats, no top coat.

A England - Briarwood

Hey guys,

So has anyone tried a Konjac sponge? I have been seeing them everywhere. They look great, but if anyone has used one please comment below, I would love people's feedback before I shell out some dough and buy one.

So a couple months back I finally got my A England collection back up to being able to say I HAVE THEM ALL (please Adina, no more releases for a couple months my bank account begs you) Briarwood is part of the Burne-Jone's Dream collection but it was a late release in the collection so I didn't get it at the same time as the rest. This is a rusty burgundy that is a bit duochromey and has a light holo to it (see the flash pic at the bottom) Great smooth application. This is two coats.

Personal Accents - "Wine"

Hey guys,

So I need to talk about what happened to me this weekend. Don't be scared. It's AWESOME.
I am notoriously bad for "falling down the rabbit hole" of the internet and next thing I know it's like 10 pm at night and I'm like what happened to The Good Wife marathon I was having and how have I spent 3 hours watching Youtube videos.
There is this girl on Youtube who does these "Does this thing really work?!" videos where she tests as seen on tv products, but these videos are ridiculous. I laughed my butt off, then SPENT AT LEAST 4 HOURS STRAIGHT watching these videos. So many questions were answered. I feel like I needed to share the love. I posted a video at the end, stay tuned.

So this is another Personal Accents polish that came in the set Nicole got me for my birthday.
These didn't come with names so I have named this one Wine.
This was two coats.

Please enjoy this video. This is what spawned the beginning of my marathon.

OPI - Sleigh Ride For Two

Hey guys,

So first off I want to wish my Dad a Happy Birthday. Just because you're in heaven this year doesn't mean I'm not celebrating with you.

Aside from Pure I didn't wind up picking up any other of OPI's Christmas polishes this year, until of course I saw this baby at Winners. It is a GORGEOUS dark burgundy polish with a deep wine shimmer. Legit so pretty and not something you see a whole lot of usually. It's a perfect winter colour. This was two coats

Ugly Christmas Sweater Manicure

Hey guys,

Merry Christmas to all of you, I hope you were all able to spend it surrounded by people you love.

for today's manicure I wanted to show you my favourite Christmas manicure I did this season, my ugly sweater nails. They were a tad wonky but I loved them and the people at work got a total kick out of them.

I used
Julep - Coco as a base.

Orly - Space Cadet

Hey guys,

Okay so for REAL this is the last Orly I have well, for right now anyways.
This is one I've seen for a while but I was never stoked enough to pull the trigger.
This one is kind of similar to Royal Velvet except the shimmer on this is bigger and has a colour shift of it's own. I'm not entirely sure how much I love this one. It kind of doesn't do much for me, but I'll let you guys decide.

This was two coats with one coat of SV, the first coat goes on kinda sheer but the second coat builds up nicely.

Random Swatch Spam

Hey guys,

Today I just have some random swatches for you, these four polishes were all presents from Chelsea. I actually swatched one of them while I was dogsitting for her then she wound up giving it to me.

Nicole by OPI - Shoot for the Maroon

Hey guys,

So exciting news! My new piCture pOlishes came in the mail today! I haven't had time to swatch them yet but I'm hoping for this weekend! Sad news, I have one more episode of Pushing Daisies left *sob*

Anyways moving on. So it's no secret Maroon 5 is my favourite band, more-so their older stuff but what can I say I love it all, and have for years. So when I saw this I just had to grab it. As beautiful as this is normally I really love this with a matte top coat!

OPI - Every Month is Oktoberfest

Hey guys,

So right now I'm sitting in my basement, nursing a giant headache and my Lord of the Rings marathon is underway. Last night was my friend's 18th birthday, but being the first of her friends to turn 18 she went out with all of us old farts (aged 30-23) and while I don't drink so I'm not hungover, a night of being out in loud music while I'm already sick. Yeah I'm feeling rough today.

This was another polish from my Secret Santa this Christmas (isn't she wonderful?!) I kept staring at this one when I wore it to work.

A England Matte'd

Hey guys,

So while I swatched all the Gothic Beauties (and Beauty Never Fails) I made mention of wanting to see them all Matte so here it is. I was actually surprised. I find matte usually brings out the subtle shimmer in a polish and makes it more noticeable. However for quite a few of these matte-fying them did absolutely zip. Sorry for the semi sloppy matte job on most of these my Essie Matte About You is getting a bit old (I just now replaced it) so it was being a pain in my butt.

These are definitely more beautiful in their original form.

Stride Equine Manicure

Hey guys,

So for those of you who don't know, I own/ride/show Arabian horses. My two boys are Breezer & Timmi, and my coach's company/show team is Stride Equine. A couple weeks ago we had a photo shoot that turned out great.
Here are a couple of my favourite shots

So this was a manicure I had done for a show meeting we were having.
Our team colours are Black & Maroon. (Burgundy? Whatever)

For this I used
