Villains: Scar

Hey guys,

Wow so we have come to the end of Heroes and Villains, seems like just yesterday I was talking to Melissa about attempting to do this. Before that I would have never attempted to do faces like these. Really it can only get better from here!

I wanted to end on another fave villain of mine. Scar, the Lion King is genius. And Scar is the perfect villain. I know so many people who live in the shadow of their siblings (granted they don't resort to killing said siblings... at least not yet anyways) so I think it's easy to sympathize a bit with Scar. Maybe it's just me.

Hey guys,

So back when I decided to purchase Rainbow Honey's Equestria collection I discovered that if I spent $100 that I then received both of their limited edition polishes as a free gift. What did someone say free gift? Of course I was in. I was already $80 deep so heck why not shoot for $100? (now I see they dropped the whole set price $10 but whatever). Oh and I'm an idiot and the blue in the collage below is not the blue in the post so... surprise.

TV Inspired: Friends

Hey guys,

Today's manicure comes to you from the show Friends 

For years I was never a huge Friends fan then around last Christmas I just randomly decided to watch season one since I had gotten the first four seasons from Chelsea. Well let me tell you it did not take very long to get hooked. I don't know why I never realized how funny it was. And man I love Ross, which pretty much disgusts my friend Jill to no end. Man I just want to snuggle the crap out of him. 

So here we have the MagnaDoodle from the back of the guys' door (dude I loved my magnadoodle as a kid, so awesome), the picture frame from the back of the girls' door (it's totally lopsided, sorry!) and the Central Perk logo (with some sketchy text) and the other ones are just latte coloured

TV Inspired: Hart of Dixie

Hey guys,

So Happy Valentines Day, I personally am not a fan. Pretty much since for as long as I can remember my Valentine has been one of the four-legged variety. Not to discount them, they're quite easier to love than many a human being.

Today's TV Inspired manicure I at least feel somewhat fits into the lovey dovey crap that is V-Day. 

Hart of Dixie Now I've loved Rachel Bilson since The OC so I was super excited when HoD debuted. Add in Wilson Bethel & Scott Porter and you've hit the trifecta. (Can you see a pattern here?? Good looking guys significantly up how much I love a show. Sad but true.) So I've got the hearts, the bluebells, the Rammer Jammer, and of course we can't forget about the lemons!

TV Inspired: Pushing Daisies

Hey guys,

So a few weeks back I talked about my brand new obsession of Pushing Daisies I love this show I'm so bummed that it only lasted 22 episodes. Seriously what kind of crap is that??! Sorry, it makes me sad that it didn't last cause this show was super adorable. Anyways this would up being the first TV Inspired Manicure I did.

Giraffe Manicure

Hey guys,

So for months Jill has been bugging me to do giraffe nails. If Zebras are my thing Giraffes are definitely Jill's for some reason I was always leery of doing giraffe print. I really don't know what my problem was because in my opinion this turned out pretty great.

So I had done these nails on Jill a few weeks ago and I decided it was time to do them on myself. 

I freehanded all the lines so some are a bit funky.

Lioness Manicure

Hey ladies

So I'm sure I've told you by now about how I broke down last weekend and bought 2 new polishes during my polish buying freeze? No? Well last weekend I headed out to the mall with my mom & grandmother (which I knew was a bad idea) and lo and behold I wound up in Sephora standing in front of the Sephora by OPI stand drooling... okay well not actually drooling, they'd probably kick me out for that. Well I walked out of there with 2 polishes (which I like to think was very restrained of me considering how long it had been since I physically bought a polish)

One of the polishes I picked up was Neutral Beauty now I have nothing like this in my collection so it's pretty exciting.

plus it was the perfect polish to use as a base for the Sephora by OPI Blasted Opalescent Gold polish I had picked up about a month ago.

To me this manicure reminds me of the coat of a Lioness.... could be a bit of a stretch but everytime I glanced at it thats all I could think of.

Heres to a slip up that was worth it!!
