OPI - Rollin' In Cashmere Gwen Stefani Set

So I think by now we can all agree that I have completely dropped the ball on this year as far as timely posting goes. For instance, I got this for CHRISTMAS from my nail polish BFF. Swatched and wore it forever ago and am just NOW getting around to posting it. Ugh lifes priorities.

OPI - Bastille My Heart

Hey guys,

So a while back I was shopping for polish and this guy jumped at me, mostly because I love Bastille ever since my friend Kellee introduced me to them over a year ago. So this polish makes me think of them/her.

Plus it's red which YAY.
It's a bit sheer, and maybe could have used another coat. But I love me some reds so I don't mind.

Hey guys,

Oh OPI Designer Series, I had almost forgotten the love affair I have with you. I love the DS polish line, however they are just so flippin' expensive. So when I saw this puppy on sale at NPC I had to snag it. It could have been the grossest color ever. It was DS so it was going in my shopping cart.

However, it wasn't gross it was a dark midnight purple full of gold glitter micro flakes. And I LOVED it. Plus it makes me want to sing Sarah McLachlan's Building A Mystery. Beautiful application too.

OPI - Don't Speak

Hey guys,

So every Christmas lately OPI seems to be coming out with a 18k gold topcoat of some sort. Last year it was Mariah Carey's Pure. This year it was Gwen Stefani Don't Speak.
OPI has previously put out a yellow gold topcoat in Man with the Golden Gun which I don't have, so I can't compare the two. However my NPBFF did swatch it on her blog so go check that out here
Every Christmas (okay for the last two) my NBFF Melissa and I always agree to buy them for each other, because this makes more sense than buying it for ourselves right?
From what I see this is a much more dense gold flake. With a base gold shimmer.

What do you guys think of this one compared to MWTGG?

So while I was going through my spreadsheet and adding swatch links I noticed a bunch oh polishes that never got swatched. What surprised me most was the Pirates of the Caribbean minis, I'd had these since I started my blog and have used them in several different manis. Apparently I had never swatched them individually though. I love this collection so I'm excited to finally show you.

Scottish Flag Manicure

Hey guys,

Okay so I know I'm a bit late here but lately I have been obsessed with Scotland, I want to go so insanely bad. Basically it just seems like a magical place with such rich history. Well yesterday Scotland voted on an independence referendum. The vote was almost split down the middle, the "No" side won.

I won't pretend to have an opinion on this, I am not Scottish, in fact I heard somewhere that ancestor's of mine were forcibly removed from Scotland for stealing sheep (I sort of doubt this is true, but heck who knows?) but most of the people I saw talking about it wanted a "Yes" vote. 

Anyways, in honor of this big day for Scotland I decided to do a Scottish Flag manicure.

my ring number is super funky and the blue is likely way off (I saw all sorts of different blues so I picked my favourite) but anyways.

OPI - Girls Love Ponies

Hey guys,

Okay so Netflix seemed to really think I would enjoy "Kitten Party" so that's happening right now. It reminds me of when my cousin and I would sit and watch her fish in her fish tank and just narrate what they were doing like they were people. Maybe that's super bizarre. We were probably 10 years old so maybe that makes a difference, anyways that's exactly what Kitten Party is. I wish it was my job just to play with a bunch of kittens all day. I'm in the wrong line of work, although oddly Netflix doesn't think I will like Puppy Party nearly as much as this one.

Boom! what a pink! I love the colour of this and part of me really wishes this was called "Bitches Love Ponies" but I gather OPI is a bit too mainstream for that. Anyways application here kinda stunk it was kind of streaky. This was three coats.

So tonight seemed to be the premiere night of a few shows, let start with this: Does anyone here watch the Mindy Project? Danny's dance at the end, I died laughing. So great, I love that show. Mindy Kaling is one of my many spirit animals.

Today I have another Mustang Mini for you. Yep. it's WHITE. Personally I find white to be a bizarre colour to have in a collection. Just plain white. Nothing special about it. It was pretty generic as far as whites go. A bit streaky and kind of a pain, but overall pretty much your average white. I also can't figure out why my nails look so whacked in these pictures, let's blame hand position.

Hey guys,

So once again I don't have much to say on account of being sick and having a pounding headache. I'm done with being sick seriously. Oh I will say that I'm watching American Ninja Warrior and holy when did Tim Shieff turn into such a fox?

Today I have the next OPI Mustang Mini to show you. This is a gold frost so be careful of brush strokes. Other than that this is a pretty nice gold and actually doesn't clash horribly with my skin tone.

So I'm still really sick. And it still feels like someone removed my brain and replaced it with cotton balls. I need another day off! I also backed into a wheelbarrow with my vehicle today. Super classy move. Although I think the owner of said wheelbarrow got a good laugh out of it. Maybe one of those days when I just should have stayed in bed.

Today I have the first of four polishes from OPI's Mustang collection. Fun fact: growing up I wanted a royal purple Mustang. Like REALLY bad. While I would never say no to a Mustang I can't say they are my dream cars anymore. That being said I am a Ford girl so I was excited and wish I could have gotten this whole collection. However I'll just have to settle for the minis.

So today I leave all my friends in Calgary and drive home, just to fly out to my cousin's wedding a couple provinces over! The excitement never ends!

I have the last Brazil OPI mini to show you guys today, this one seemed a bit out of place with the others in the set, it actually reminds me a lot of a couple of the polishes in the June Julep Maven box. It's a purpley-gold duochrome, with awesome shimmer. This was three coats.

So this polish clearly got worn before the others because this features my wonderful werewolf claws! They're coming back! Lately I've been thinking of doing a post on why I love stiletto/almond nails. We'll see.

Today we have the next mini in the Brazil mini set. I was really excited to try this one. It's a deep teal color that believe it or not has the most subtle shimmer deep inside that you literally had to have your nails in the exact right light to see it. It dried really shiny too, this is with no top coat. This is two coats.

Hey guys,

So I am officially on vacation! First things first, so I am staying at probably the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed at, okay well at least in Canada anyways. There is a Starbucks in the lobby, there was fresh fruit in my room (a giant strawberry in a wine glass WHAT?!) but what sucks is you have to pay per night for parking. Stupid, but really if that's my biggest complaint I should probably not worry too much. Plus Legally Blonde is on TV and who doesn't love that movie?

I have the next Gwen Stefani polish for you guys today, this was actually the surprise favourite of the collection. While not a incredibly ground breaking pink or anything it was pretty and applied nicely even though it was a bit more sheer than one would think. When I was wearing this I totally heard Hey Baby on the radio and squealed. I love stuff like that. This was three coats.
