F.U.N. Lacquer - Be My Queen

Tonight I am headed to see Florida Georgia Line with the greatest coach/friend ever Jac, I am so insanely excited. I mean don't get me wrong sometimes I can sometimes be like an old grandma at concerts. Ear plugs all the way haha.

I have another thermal from FUNLacquer to show you guys today this is a teal to white thermal. This one is shimmery with micro flecks. Warm it is white and cold it is teal. I didn't run my fingers under the tap like I normally do for thermals, instead I almost burnt my finger prints off in a cup of water from the kettle. Not my brightest moment. This is two coats.

Hey guys,

Happy Saturday evening everyone. I hope your weekends are going well. I spent the day watching Disney movies and cleaning my tack, or I should say, pre-cleaning my tack for tomorrow. Actually it was in much better shape than I though it was, in my mind it was covered in mold. In reality, just a bit of mildew. Hurray for lemon juice and rubber gloves.

I have a thermal to show you guys today! This was from FUNLacquer's Christmas collection. It's a white/blue thermal with a blue/purple duochrome shimmer. Warm it's white, and cold it is blue. This was three coats.

Hey guys,

Today we have the last of the Princess collection, and what I sure hope is not my last FL polish because these are so amazing. Last but not least is Rapunzel, who is a relatively new princess but is super awesome! I don't know how Tangled can't become an instant classic!

The holo in this polish is perfect, and the colour is amazing. I did however notice that there were bizarre blue-ish black dots in this bottle I don't know if it has something to do with the colour or an ingredient used. This was the only polish that I noticed this with.

Hey guys,

I am slowly coming around to Snow White, I still can't stand the cartoon version but the new movies and not to mention Once Upon a Time character have really started to change my opinion.

This is a dove grey holo that I LOVE. for some reason I had like a death clutch on the bottle in these pictures... but whatever. I like the subtleness of this polish. The holo is pretty weak but I like it.

Hey guys,

We all know the Little Mermaid is a staple of Disney Princesses. I love the movie, and Ariel, I mean come on her red hair is fantastic and made everyone want to be a red head. You know I really wish someone would do a collection of polishes inspired by the unsung heroines of Disney, that would be great, I mean I obviously love the Princesses but come on, some of the other girls need some love too.

This is a great colour, this one has a bit of the metallic finish I'm not super stoked on, but overall I really love this colour, the holo is mid-range. This was 2 coats.

So I still have somewhat mixed feelings on Brave, it just so wasn't what I wanted it to be, I dunno. I probably need to watch it again. I do like the concept and the character though.

This is the strongest of the holos in the group. I don't really know how I feel about the metallic shimmer in here. (It was in Belle too) I much prefer the creamier holo colours like Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White & Rapunzel. Maybe that's just me. This was 2 coats.

I've said it on several occasions that Princess Aurora is my favourite Disney Princess. Disney has produced a lot of great Princesses over the years including Anna and Elsa from Frozen. Oh man speaking of Sleeping Beauty, I saw the trailer for Maleficent the other day HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER! It looks like a bizarre combination of amazing/terrifying. It's totally normal for a grown women (euw that sounds weird to say) to be terrified of a cartoon villain right?? (I'm sorry anyone who disagrees needs to go youtube The Cobweb Hotel. Right now. You're welcome for the nightmares.)

I love this polish, it's somewhere along the lines of Cinderella for a mid range holo, this is just one of the prettiest pinks. This was 2 coats.

Hey guys,

Next up is Pocahontas in which I was recently reminded that SHE DOESN'T GET THE GUY IN THE END! Not that that's what it's about or anything. My cousin sent me the greatest text a few months back about this: "Wtf, Pocahontas and John Smith don't even end up together?? I admit it's been a while since I've watched it, but I'm shocked. Even Jane stays with Tarzan and he lives with apes!"
That still cracks me up and is why my cousin Jess is one of my favourite people.

I managed to snag a full size of Pocahontas even after waiting a bit, Pocahontas was one of I think 4 that had an extended release. This is one of the strongest holos in the group.

    Hey guys,

This was one of my favourite of the collection, this blue is just gorgeous. I always liked Cinderella but it was never one of my favourites... not 100% sure why I think it was because when I was little I didn't like her hair... stupid? yes. Superficial? yes. True? yes.

This is one of the more mid-range holos, floating somewhere between Mulan & Merida (which is the strongest in the bunch) I could have worn this forever I loved it so much.

Hey guys,

Next up is our Princess and the Frog inspired polish, I've come to discover that a lot of people from my generation of Disney lovers have not seen Princess and the Frog! So sad, while it is not my favourite Disney movie, it has a lot of merit, and spawned one of the creepier villains Doctor Facilier.

Tiana is a stronger holo, and had the same 2 coat application. For a pretty new out of the gate indie, I give 2 thumbs up to FL for their formula.

Hey guys,

So remember when I said I had to get a mini of one of the polishes? well here it is. I sat on my butt and didn't buy Mulan, Pocahontas and Merida when I should have and when I decided I needed them I was too late. Then Mulan was discontinued and all that was left was a mini so this is the mini in my collection.

Mulan totally gets forgotten as far as Princesses go, she kicked BUTT and totally saved China. That movie rocks.

This is one of the more mellow holos in the collection, which of course looked great in person but my camera hates... I really need to get my light box up and running. However application was good, still two coats for full coverage.

Hey guys,

Today we have the polish inspired by the Princess of Agraba, Princess Jasmine. I sometimes forget how obsessed I was with Aladdin when it came out, my cousin and I had matching Jasmine pj's that were totally awesome... until I got a little bit too big for them and the elastic around the wrists of the gauzy sleeves started cutting off my circulation... yeah sad day.

The holo in this one again is one of the stronger holos in the group, you'll see what I mean when I post one of the weaker holos. Same application here, two coats!

So I never cease to be amazed by some of the amazing indie brands I've found on Instagram, I can't even remember exactly how I first heard of this brand from Singapore but I'm so glad I did, they have some GORGEOUS polishes and amazing formulas, plus the fact that they still aren't incredibly mainstream makes them a bit easier to get a hold of even though I made a mistake and didn't order the whole set at once so I had to wait for a restock, and get a mini of one of the colours.

So over the next week and a little bit I'm going to be showing you F.U.N. Lacquer's Princess Collection which are holos all inspired by Disney Princesses.

First up is Belle, of course inspired by our slightly Stockholm syndrome (who can blame her?) heroine from Beauty & The Beast, which of course is one of my favourites. This is a gold holo after her iconic golden dress.
Application was great, this was two coats, the holo in this one is pretty strong compared to some of the others in this collection.
