Stride Equine Manicure

Hey guys,

So for those of you who don't know, I own/ride/show Arabian horses. My two boys are Breezer & Timmi, and my coach's company/show team is Stride Equine. A couple weeks ago we had a photo shoot that turned out great.
Here are a couple of my favourite shots

So this was a manicure I had done for a show meeting we were having.
Our team colours are Black & Maroon. (Burgundy? Whatever)

For this I used

Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers - Black Pearl
Nicole by OPI - Shoot for the Maroon

8 Days of Halloween - Day 3 - Glowing Ghosts

Hey guys,

So day 3 of Halloween manicures! that means only 5 days until Halloween! Hopefully by now everyone has their candy ready and their costumes picked out!

So I wanted to do little ghosts for this manicure. They turned out a tad funky but I still think they're pretty cute. Plus they glow which I love. That except I always freak myself out when I crawl into bed and can't figure out what is moving until my eyes adjust and I realize that its just my nails glowing.

For this I used

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Black Out
Bed Head - Mastermind
Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers - Glow

Black & White Watermarble

Hey guys,

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Well you fellow Canadians anyways.
So last night I got to see Nicole, and for those of you who read my blog semi regularly you'll know that when Nicole comes to town often new nail polish follows her. She gave me a couple fun ones. A UV colour changing polish and a glow in the dark polish. October is so the month for glowing polishes! I'll hopefully have those up here soon.

Today I have hands down the best water marble I've done to date. Still not perfect but its come a LONG way from my first terrible one I did.

For this I used

Essie - Blanc
Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers - Black Pearl
Nails Inc. - Electric Lane

Monochromatic Manicure

Hey guys,

So exciting news, yesterday I got my package from Cirque in the mail! EEEEk! So pumped. I'm going to go into more detail when I actually swatch the polishes.

Um in other news I've been feeling great lately! (Ever just have that feeling that all the pieces are falling into place? Thats the feeling I've got going on right now.)

Not much else going on, the plan is to maybe go shopping tomorrow (excited? yes yes I am)
I plan to take my first step into buying a pair of expensive jeans. Believe it or not clothes is an area that I have a really hard time spending money on. I live for comfort & versatility. Threadless.com is my favourite place to shop for shirts (my goal is to one day have enough threadless shirts that I'll have enough to make another bangin' t shirt quilt. So wish me luck!
For this I used

Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers - Black Pearl
NYX - Dancing Queen
Essie - Blanc

Criminal Minds Manicure

Hey guys

So Happy Fathers day to all the dads out there.
Well I finally posted all the pictures of the Nail Polish Jewelry that I made this week.
Find the photos here.
Click Me!
If you see something you like let me know.

Anyone who's been around me for the past few weeks has heard me go on about Criminal Minds. Miss Jill got me hooked on that one (actually a repeat is playing in the background as we speak), anyways so I've pretty much done not much other than craft and watch Criminal Minds for the past few weeks (I'm on season 5 and still loving it)

I thought I would do a Criminal Minds inspired manicure. It's obviously not the best "bloody" manicure I've seen but I think it turned out not too bad.

I used
Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers - Black Pearl
Essie - Blanc (as a base for the red)
Essie - Size Matters

Any other Criminal Minds fans out there??

Monochrome Dots

Hey guys

So exciting news. My Nfu Oh Holos came in the mail today so I'll probably spend most of the week rocking those babies, so expect to see them next week, along with a review of the Nfu Oh Aqua Base. Is it worth it? Does it make a difference? We're going to see. I changed my entire order so I could get it so lets see if it was worth it.

Anyways I love this manicure.
this was me again playing with my dotter tool and this was probably the first time I got super excited about the results

This is just

Wet & Wild Fantasy Makers - Black Pearl
Essie - Blanc

I'm aware I need a new black polish that isn't in a tombstone bottle but this one works really well and does the trick so until it runs out tombstone bottle it is.

Peyton Sawyer Manicure

So after being inspired by Chelsea's separated polishes I decided separating mine was a must, and when my bestie needed to go to Ikea to furnish her brand new house I seized my opportunity.
Here is my newly separated polish collection.

In other news a video tutorial of my Tartan nails has been requested by one of my lovely readers Kristin. This idea scares the crap out of me BUT tomorrow I'm going to set up my camera that until now has been used solely to video horse shows and the occasional late night drunk ramblings by my friend Melissa, and try to do my best. So stay tuned tomorrow, if I completely and utterly fail I will take step by step pictures and post those. I hope that I can pull this off for Kristin, and the rest of you guys as well.

So now that my ramblings have finished down to the heart of the post. My first One Tree Hill manicure. My first manicure is an ode to Peyton. Now you should all know how I feel about the character Peyton... I hate her, like cannot stand her character in the slightest. On DVD I try to fast forward every scene with her in it, I just cannot stand her once she gets to the ohhh my life sucks blah blah blah. I know a lot of people do not share my feelings towards Peyton and thats totally cool. Now in reality I feel like I SHOULD like Peyton because her style and mine are similar (mine is considerably lazier... although when I have the motivation you'd be surprised) so although I dislike her I LOVE the Peyton Manicure.

I started with a black base.
haha okay so the plain black creme that I have is Fantasy Makers by wet n wild in Black Pearl
yep it has a tombstone cap. Whatever, it works.

2 coats of Black Pearl then 1 coat of Sephora by OPI Be-Claus I Said So
(I love BCISS it's soo gorgeous)
and we have Peyton inspired nails!

*don't you just love the dog hair in my pinkie? I like how I didn't notice it until now.
