December Julep Maven Box

Hey guys,

So since December is my birthday month and I was into this month's box I decided to treat myself and use my Jules for a full polish upgrade (ALL THE POLISH) and then a couple add ons of their new Whipped Lip mousses, and a cuticle oil which I love.

October Julep Maven Box

Hey guys,

So I was kind of hoping to fall head over heels for the entire October collection because of Halloween, and maybe use my points to get the whole collection, but sadly there was only a few polishes I was smitten with, and when I say smitten - I promise you I mean smitten. September Julep Maven Box

Hey guys,

Today I have this past month's Julep Maven box to show you. I've been looking for a good highlight powder for a while now so I thought I might give Julep's a chance. I was definitely quite happy with this month's box so click for more after the jump.

Nicole by OPI - I Lilac Gumdrops

Hey guys,

Today I have one of NOPI's textured gumdrops polishes to show you. This was a birthday gift from my friend Jazmin and I was super excited to try this one out. It reminds me a lot of China Glaze's Sea Goddess collection i loved this shimmery lilac, the texture of this was fairly fine. This was two coats.

Zoya - Cosmo

Hey guys,

So looks like these next couple weeks are going to be pretty busy so I'm giving you guys a heads up incase there is an unannounced interruption in service.

Today I have the last Magical PixieDust to show you guys. This was from the Spring collection. And like the other two in this collection has the same dusty matte glitter finish along with larger hex glitter.

Zoya - Lux

Hey guys,

Sorry for the spotty posting, I've been super busy for the past few days and my life has been rather erratic. I am doing my best to not have service here interrupted but sometimes it's hard. I know you guys understand.

Tonight I have one of the original Magical PixieDusts to show you, this is the pink in the collection. You'll notice that this one is a bit dustier than the polishes from the Summer Magical PixieDusts collection and way more matte and less jelly-based.

Zoya - Ginni

Hey guys,

So Halloween is looming! Looks like I won't have any spooky nail looks for you guys this year as I've been so busy lately but there are plenty awesome ones out there already. I finally remembered I need to get my act together and buy some make up so I can practice my look for tomorrow and now that I type this I realize I forgot to buy fake blood. Whoops.

Tonight I have the last Summer Magical Pixie Dust to show you guys, this came with Arlo & Bar, this is more of a peachy pink. And had very much the same application here, big holo glitter and a jelly base. Actually using my usual Julep Party's over removal method I had no problems removing any of these.
This was two coats.

Zoya - Arlo

Hey guys,

Well I had a bit of a "spendy" day today, first I ordered some fantastic winter boots for the barn that I am excited to recieve. Then I ordered a PMD (yep google that one) and THEN I went and had my hair cut. Although after almost a year of my stylist leaving her job as a hairdresser I have FINALLY found a new stylist who is amazing and actually worth her salt. So exciting to have hair I am excited about and not just annoyed with.

Tonight I have another of the Summer Magical Pixie Dusts for you this one was from the same collection as Bar and has very much the same feel, big chunky holo glitter in a jelly base. I found this didn't dry super matte but I like it anyways. This was two coats.

Zoya - Vega

Hey guys,

So I initially was going to start this post of with a mega long rant, but that was a couple hours ago and I have since calmed down, so you guys are spared a long winded rant about how my brother is a jerk.

Tonight on the blog we have one of the original magical PixieDusts. you'll see compared to yesterday's post that the original Magical PixieDusts while still quite chunky were more PixieDust and less chunk. I think I like these more than the summer collection but less than the original finer Pixies.

Zoya - Bar

Hey guys,

So it's really late so I'm basically just going to skip to the good stuff.

So this is one of Zoya's Magical PixieDusts, this is from their Summer collection. Magical PixieDusts are different from the regular PixieDusts in that it is much more chunky glitter opposed to fine PixieDusts. This is the nude one in the collection. I really liked the colour of this one.

China Glaze - Teal The Tide Turns

Hey guys,

I hope everyone had a great weekend, I sure did, I got to hang out with some great friends and instead of working on whittling down my tv show queue I decided it was a good time to start watching a couple more shows since I am a glutton for punishment.

I have what I believe is the last Sea Goddess polish to show you today. This one was in the same sort of creamier vein of Sand Dolla Make You Holla. I really liked this one. Again it's a perfect mermaid-y polish.
This was three coats.

China Glaze - Tail Me Something

Hey guys,

So it was super hot today, and of course the weather man was threatening crazy thunderstorms all afternoon. Well it's 8:00 and we have yet to see a storm. Our power did go out earlier, and I am fairly certain that my family is insane, instead of hanging out downstairs where it is nice and cool they're upstairs sweating their faces off. Not that I'm complaining because I love being left alone.

So I can't say the name of this polish without also singing "Tell Me Something Good" in my head or at least humming it. Anyone with me? This was one of my surprise favourites in the Sea Goddess collection. I don't know why I wasn't expecting to love this one like I did but wow, it just seems very mermaid-y to me. This was 2 coats.

China Glaze - Shell We Dance

Hey guys,

So we finally got a new farrier out to the barn today, and he was nice enough to bring his helper who is a TOTAL fox, and apparently he was laughing at my jokes, and I couldn't see a wedding ring so I'll be excited to see him again. I'm going to have to make more of an effort to be around for farrier day.

So when I posted the first Sea Goddess polish I said I wasn't able to get Shell We Dance, but I am a liar. I meant that I wasn't able to get Wish Upon a Starfish. That being said this is the shimmery pink polish in the collection, I believe that Wish Upon A Starfish is brighter, but I wouldn't really know because I couldn't get my hands on it. This was three coats.

June Julep Maven Box

Hey guys,

So I really didn't want this to happen, I told myself I would be good. Then it happened. I upgraded my Julep box AGAIN. This month Julep introduced their new My Maven program. All existing Mavens would have the choice to continue with their current subscription program which is you choose which box you want then you can have up to three add-ons. Or upgrade to "My Maven" and pay $25 a month and be able to customize their box, which I actually like because you can swap out a polish you don't want for one you do want. Or you can upgrade to the Maven Luxe box and pay $40 a month and get to choose more products in your box. I upgraded to the My Maven, but after looking at this month's collection I splurged. I blame the fact that this month's collection is whimsical. It's very A Midsummer's Night Dream.

China Glaze - Sand Dolla Make You Holla

Hey guys,

So I have had a great day today, on my accidental day off, I actually got to go ride my horse because I actually caught him. Always a good day when I can catch him. I fly out tomorrow for my cousin's wedding so there won't be a post tomorrow.

I have another polish from the Sea Goddess collection. Before I wore them all this was my favourite in the collection. It's a super pale pink base with rainbow micro glitters. This didn't wind up being my favourite in real life but I did really like this one. My camera however HATED it. So bear with me and the crappy pics.
This is three coats.
