Shark Week 2015!

Hey guys,

So every year I do a shark week manicure, you've seen them before. Type Shark Week into the search bar to the right to see past years.

Well it's been a long while since I'd done any kind of nail art, and sadly apparently I suck at it now, or maybe I was just rushing things because I was hungry. Anyways this was inspired by a picture I saw on instagram. Except the one on instagram is so much better.

My sharks look more like sucker fish... Or tape worms.

As the boyfriend said "everything but their mouths is good" yeah I get it but at that point I was a tad too lazy to fix anything so 2015 we have some really shitty shark nail art.

Ugh  it's upsetting.

So I don't know about you guys but I frequently think "Why don't I play more board games?" then I have a games night with some of my friends and get my butt whooped in Monoply and remember I am a sore loser. That's why I don't play board games more often.

Okay so yesterday I announced that since I had finished up Julep's Birthstone collection I would be showing you guys Lacquer Lust's birthstone collection. Well today I logged into Julep's secret store just to find out that it appears that there is going to be another round of Julep Birthstone Polishes. Well looks like 2015 will be the year of the Birthstones for you guys.

Today I have a polish from A England's new collection. I want to apologize up front for my awful cuticles here. I have since drenched them in cuticle oil. That being said I love this fiery red polish. Great application from A England as always. This is two coats

So today my iPad mini came in the mail! Eeeek I'm so excited to just sit and play with it. Yes I am like a five year old with a new toy. Honestly it was likely just an expensive netflix player but whatever I'm sure it will come in handy for travelling.

Today I have the an A England polish to show you, as of this moment my A England collection is 100% complete. Of course now that I have said that out loud I'm sure it won't be long until Adina releases a new collection. This is a ethereal purple sheer duochrome. For maximum effect I layered this over black but I'm curious to see what this would look like on it's own.

So today I went to the SPCA with my bestie and her parents to look at potentially adopting a dog for her. Holy crap, I just want to take them all home and snuggle them. We didn't wind up finding anyone perfect for Nicole, but it was still exciting to go and look. 

So in 2012 A England re-released their Holy Grail polish with a updated version, and last year they did the same with their Excalibur polish shade. Click here for the original swatch. They didn't wind up discontinuing the old one, but here is the new one, we shall call it Excalibur 2013. This one has a lot more dimension to it, it actually reminded me a bit of OPI Designer De Better. Great application and coverage.

Hey guys

So yesterday I made the epic mistake of taking an Advil Cold & Sinus pill for my head cold. Did it work? Yep, it also made me high as a kite. Surefire sign I should never ever try my hand at hard drugs, not that I ever planned on doing that anyways, but you know what I mean. I definitely had to go home at lunch and sleep it off. Then brave the world for Florida Georgia Line which was AWESOME. One of the guys behind us somehow managed to drop his cellphone IN his beer while the lid was ON. What is this sorcery?!

Today I have the whole A England Ballerina collection to show you guys. I was going to post these separately but they are all so similar I figured it would be helpful to see them all side by side. Honestly as much as I love A England, I don't know if you really need each of these unless you are a hoarder like me. The holo in all of these is about the same. Fairly weak but pretty.

A England - Briarwood

So has anyone tried a Konjac sponge? I have been seeing them everywhere. They look great, but if anyone has used one please comment below, I would love people's feedback before I shell out some dough and buy one. 

So a couple months back I finally got my A England collection back up to being able to say I HAVE THEM ALL (please Adina, no more releases for a couple months my bank account begs you) Briarwood is part of the Burne-Jone's Dream collection but it was a late release in the collection so I didn't get it at the same time as the rest. This is a rusty burgundy that is a bit duochromey and has a light holo to it (see the flash pic at the bottom) Great smooth application. This is two coats.

So I am way behind on being up to date with my A Englands, I am missing 2! And they just announced their next collection, well after Christmas I guess I'll have to get on it. 

Anyways this one is from the Heavenly Quotes collection and is a gunsmoke grey.

Hey guys,

So before Adina released her last few shades I decided it was finally time to complete my A England collection.

With that came this polish Morgan Le Fay.
The polish is a white shimmer pearl polish with a teensie bit of pink seen in there. I knew this would be a pain to photograph so I decided to make it part of a gradient, while I'm not super happy with the way it turned out (I really needed to sponge on the lighter purple and THEN sponge on the pearl shimmer instead of doing them both at once) but oh well. This will make any creme polish a gorgeous pearly colour.

So I have heard many people talk about this black polish like it's the holy grail of black polishes.

I was NOT disappointed. Of course because this is A England there is no way I will be making this my go to black polish for nail art, this will be definitely saved for special occasions.
