You know those weeks when you are just kind of down in the dumps, then you sort of realize you have the best medicine in the world at your disposal? Yup that happened today, crummy day so I went out to just brush my horse, and let me tell you just listening to him breathe is the greatest sound in the world. Right on par with hearing my puppy snore.

I really do like Spellbound's holos, this is definitely the weakest holo I have from them but I still loved the color in this one. The formula left a lot to be desired. It was very gloopy, That being said if you were super careful you could likely get away with one coat. It took me a couple nails to get the technique down so this is two coats.

Hey guys,

So I love unique ideas that make you go "Why didn't I think of that?" Like this polish, It seems like such a simple idea, pink with black glitter to look like Watermelon seeds? Yet I haven't seen anything similar to this anywhere. I love me some Spellbound polish. Application and formula here was great, this was quite opaque. Honestly if I wasn't trying to see if I could get a bit of depth to the "seeds" I probably could have nearly gotten away with one coat.

So I don't know about you guys but I had a great weekend. Didn't wind up getting as much sleep as I would have liked but it was worth it. I spent the day cleaning tack and power napping on my friend's couch while we watched Chris Evans movies. Right now I want tea so badly but this is the downside of Game of Thrones not having any commercials.

So orchid is the colour of the year, and I love holos. Why would I not jump at the chance to get an orchid holo? This beauty is from Spellbound nails. Normally their holos go on as almost one coaters. This one was much thinner and needed 3 coats, but the holo was pretty decent which sometimes it can be rather mellow in thicker formulas.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Saturday! I'm having a blast with Jess, watching movies, painting nails, and eating epic amounts of junk food. Eating crap doesn't count when company is in town right?

So this is another fantastic polish from Spellbound Nails. This looks exactly like confetti cake batter. It is SO chock full of rainbow coloured glitter of different sizes. It's in a cream coloured base which makes it different from anything else I own. This is from the Alice In Wonderland collection and named after the cake Alice eats that made her grow. There are 10 different glitters in here. No fishing or hard to get glitter, here.

So I am so excited because in a couple hours I'm going to be picking my cousin up from the airport, I know I have been jabbering on non stop about this but I am so stoked. We've always lived provinces away from each other but we spent so many summers growing up being joined at the hip! Even though we are incredibly different people we are always on the same wavelength. Sorry, sappy cousin moment there. Sidebar - it smells like burnt toast in my house right now.... gross... I feel like maybe I should go check to make sure nothing is actually on fire.

I have one of my favourite type of polishes to show you guys! A white based glitter!!! Oh man how I love this type of indie glitter. This is a beauty from Spellbound nails. This is a blue and pink glitter mix in a white base. I had this sitting upside down for a while and I didn't have to do any fishing.

So I love discovering new fantastic indies, there are so many out there and every once in a while I find an amazing one who ships to Canada (seriously nothing is quite as sad as filling up your cart and getting to check out and realizing they don't ship to Canada) While I was buzzing around on the internet after watching the Doctor Who 50th anniversary I discovered an indie seller on Storenvy who had made a special blue holo in honor of the 50th anniversary. So of course the moment I saw Ships to Canada, I ordered it. Done and done.

Well my first bottle got lost in the mail so I contacted the polish maker Ashley, and she sent a new one my way without hesitation, talk about amazing customer service. Well when this puppy finally arrived I was elated, it was better than I could have imagined, what a fantastic blue holo. The formula was great! This was two coats.
