April Julep Maven Box

Hey guys,

Today I have Julep's April maven box to show you guys. I love spring colours! I wanted to love this whole collection and upgrade. However there was a few dupes in the collection so instead I just picked two polishes that stood out, and got the sea salt spray for hair which I've wanted to try for a while. Then added on their new silver holo. Why did I do that? because I'm crazy

Julep - Leona - April Birthstone

Hey guys,

So today I have this year's Julep Diamond birthstone honestly this one doesn't seem way different from last years. This one has more of a blue/pink shimmer to it.
I like this one but for some reason I'm feeling fairly meh about this one. I just feel like it is so similar to last years I just feel like they could have done more. I dunno what do you guys think?

Nicole by OPI - Be Awesome

Hey guys,

So I want to apologize for the erratic posting. I am just slammed with projects outside of my nail life. So I'm going to do my best to keep things rolling but if there are more weeks like this please forgive me!

Today I have a pretty glitter top coat to show you. This one was a birthday gift from my buddy Jazmin. Normally any sort of glitter that isn't hex or circles can be a pain in the but or ugly (I'm looking at you bar glitter) but this was actually awesome. I did a bit of glitter placement with the brush but over all there wasn't too much fiddling. This was one "placed" coat over blue.

Julep - Chatoya

Hey guys,

Today I have the last of the winter Juleps to show you.

This is a dark silver glitter polish that goes with every single one of the other winter Juleps as a beautiful topper. I put off wearing this one for a while but I quite loved the way it looked. Spring is a silly time to wear this because obviously it is perfect for winter. Great glitter pay off too.
This is one coat over blue.

Julep - Briana

Hey guys,

So the other day I talked about all these polishes I had to show you well turns out I have only about three of the winter set polishes to show you, and one of them is silver glitter.

Here is another perfect blue. Seriously what is better than just a great blue creme, especially when they're not at all streaky or hard to apply either. Like Michelle this one was pretty shiny, not quite as shiny as Michelle though.

Julep - Michelle

Hey guys,

So I have a bunch of winter colored Juleps to show you so I am going to try and bang those out for you over the next week or so. I bought them right after Christmas in Julep's boxing day sale if I'm not mistaken (I could be) so there are a lot of deep blues and teals.

This is the first one. This is just straight up a gorgeous blue. AND SO SHINY. This one didn't even need a topcoat. This was two coats (and a top coat because I'm impatient and I need quick dry)

OPI - DS Mystery

Hey guys,

Oh OPI Designer Series, I had almost forgotten the love affair I have with you. I love the DS polish line, however they are just so flippin' expensive. So when I saw this puppy on sale at NPC I had to snag it. It could have been the grossest color ever. It was DS so it was going in my shopping cart.

However, it wasn't gross it was a dark midnight purple full of gold glitter micro flakes. And I LOVED it. Plus it makes me want to sing Sarah McLachlan's Building A Mystery. Beautiful application too.

Lacquer Lust - Diamond - April Birthstone

Hey guys,

So has anyone been watching or maybe even watched The new Daredevil series on Netflix? I've watched about half of it today, pretty brutal but also pretty dang good. I recommend it if you're into that sort of thing.

Today I have the Lacquer Lust birthstone holo for April to show you, I don't know if I will be able to get my hands on the May birthstone so this might be the last one until June. We'll have to see. I need there to be a restock at Harlow and co STAT.
This is a pretty (off) white holo. Nice application.

Ciate - Ivory Queen

Hey guys,

So in an unreal twist of events my blog Facebook page for the blog has reached over 1000 likes. I honestly could have never guessed. It's so awesome.

Tonight I have a Ciate mini to show you guys. This is a peachy-nude polish with a really subtle shimmer I quite liked this one and in real life it almost gave me mannequin hands. Is that still a thing? Nice application.

Julep - Ryan

Hey guys,

Yay for long weekends! I mean it would be better if I got Monday off too but beggars can't be choosers. Anyways I hope everyone has a happy easter! I flaked and didn't do any easter nails this year. Although I do have baby pink nails right now so maybe that makes up for it?

Today I have a pretty Julep satin polish to show you guys today. This one toes the line between a teal and a denim, and I really love this one. That being said I love polishes with different finished.

Born Pretty Store Stamper Review

Hey guys,

So a few weeks ago I was approached by the Born Pretty Store to review some products. I chose three products and tonight I have the first one to show you tonight.

So a while ago I saw someone talking about these "squishy" stampers and how they work so much better than your average stampers since they are much bigger and super squishy. So I figured that would be my first choice seeing as I SUCK at stamping. I also have very few stamping plates so sorry for the lame design. I need to get some full  nail stamping plates.

The stamper also comes with a scraper.
I personally think a old credit card works better so I probably won't use this that much

So at first I could NOT get it to pick up the design at all. AT ALL. I almost gave up and wrote it off as a dud. The stamper was super sticky but would not pick up the polish. So TO THE INTERNET. I looked into reviews of the stamper and noticed one that talked about priming the stamper. Apparently I needed to scuff it up with an emery board. BOOM. problem solved.
Then we were cooking with grease!

Once primed the stamper was picking up the designs almost perfectly. I didn't like the way a single design was looking on the nails so I stamped it on each nail a couple times.
I used Konad Special White to stamp and it's over top of Kinetics - Ice Smoothie.
The streaking has nothing to do with the stamper and everything to do with  my impatience.

This will definitely be my go-to stamper from now on.
