A England A Tale of Two Grails

Hey guys,

So back before my quest to OWN ALL THE A ENGLANDS! (yes insert the Hyperbole & A Half meme here) I was never too interested in Holy Grail, yes it was a true yellowy gold but I was cool not owning it. Well then it was discontinued and replaced with the new grail. Well like most human beings, tell me I can't have something and I need it. Adina had (maybe has still) all her remaining stock of the original Holy Grail on sale for 5 pounds. And with free shipping and even with the exhange rate this was a deal so I ordered it (this was before the whole Royal Mail debacle that I will get into another time) Then I saw the new Holy Grail in NPC's rewards catalogue. So both of these were a deal for me.

Girly Bits - Hulk Smash! & Daddy's Little Girl

Hey guys,

So recently my collection of indie polishes has grown greatly. I love them, but for some reason I was so reluctant to purchase them because shipping is $10 within Canada and Pam had just removed her free shipping option. I don't know why sometimes I am so weird about paying shipping fees. So many times I just pay whatever but then other times I am so cheap. Anyways it's weird. So when I decided to buy my Hoof Polish supplies from Pam (she sells frankening supplies, and since I wasn't going to buy in some crazy bulk quantity I just decided it was easier.) I decided I may as well chuck the two polishes I've been wanting in that pile as well. Even though I had already begun my no buy.

First is the my super geeky purchase. Hulk Smash!
It's purple shredded glitter and purple micro glitter in a neon green jelly. This is much darker in the bottle so I layered 2 coats over 2 coats of Orly Lucky Duck to deepen the green and make it more Hulk-ish.

Then we have Daddy's Little Girl.
This was a must for me, I am a huge Daddy's girl and always have been. My Dad has always been my best friend and we are ridiculously close. This is a super sensitive subject for me.
Daddy's Little Girl is multiple sizes of blue and purple glitter in a blue jelly base.
These are 2 coats of DLG over NOPI Love Song.

Zoya PixieDust Collection

Hey guys,

So I mentioned back in my OPI Liquid Sand post about how stoked I was about the new textured polish trend. Well I finally got my hands on the Spring PixieDust collection from Zoya, it took me longer to get these posted than I would have liked because I really wanted to wear each of these and see how they wore through the day. Plus it's really necessary to let these dry for at least 20 minutes before trying to photograph them.

NYX - Princess

Hey guys,

So a couple weeks ago I headed to Save On where I've found these NYX polishes for cheap for the past year to find they had all be replaced with NYX's new professional line. Not that it matters I was just kind of bummed my $1.99 polish (it was always like $4 off with a save on more membership) had vanished.

This one is on the sheer side, this is three coats but it could have used another. I've never had any problems with their formula being easy to work with and this polish was no different. I'm not sure exactly how I feel about this colour but you never know when you're going to need a fuschia!

Essie - Sssssexy

Hey guys,

So a while ago I told myself that I wasn't going to buy any more Essie polishes, I've just never been wowed on any sort of consistant basis. Yet when I saw the Essie Snakeskin magnetic polishes I guess I couldn't stop myself. So I grabbed my go to- red. The application on this one wasn't bad at all, although I should stop with the magnetic polishes because for some reason I just can't seem to get the knack of it or get it the pattern over my whole nail. Odds are I just need to work on my technique and practice.

Overall I thought these were kind of cool. Will I buy more? no but the colours are nice and I like snakes. (If I could find the picture of my friend's corn snake wrapped around my arm I would show it to you but I have no clue where it is.) If you like magnetic polish this could be for you. Assuming you're better at applying it than I am.

Nicole By OPI - Modern Family Swatches

Hey guys,

I can't remember if I'd already talked about this already so if I have you can just fast forward to the pictures.
Recently I've had a lot of success and renewed love for OPI's Nicole line, you guys are all very aware that I am the kind of person that Marketing people love, pair something I'm already addicted to with something else I'm addicted to and yeah I'm hooked. So when I saw swatches for their new Modern Family collection I was in! There were a lot of really fun polishes in this collection but I was able to narrow my must buy list to 5, which is pretty impressive on my part. It took heading to 4 different drugstores before I found the collection in it's entirety.

OPI Ger-Mini's

Hey guys,

So some more swatches that you've likely already seen, but oh well :)
I got these from Chelsea in my birthday/christmas gift Normally when I get a set of the Mini's there is at least one that I'm not totally stoked on, but I love the mix of colours in this set so much.
