Revlon - Girly

Hey guys,

So this was a polish that was skewered in the blogger world. People applauded Revlon for trying to tap into the chunky glitter in a jelly base that was happening so prominently in the indie world but yet saying they somehow missed the mark. I saw this all over the place and had to admit I wasn't a fan, something seemed a bit dirty about it.
With that said this came in a package from Melissa and I was still eager to try it. So I got out a base pink, in this case I used OPI - Sparrow Me The Drama then layered 2 coats of Girly over top.
result? I actually loved it. In person it didn't seem muddy or dirty it was just a pretty glitter polish.

So with that I'm going to say: Sometimes you just need to try the dress on before you make your final judgement.

Rainbow Honey - Sapphire Weapon

Hey guys,

So recently Rainbow Honey has come out with some AMAZING solids, yes they have some stupendous glitters but I think they REALLY shine in their solid cremes and shimmers. Honestly I just can't get past this.
And of course application was like BUTTER this is 2 coats.

Deborah Lippman - Wicked Set

Hey guys,

So when NPC stopped carrying Deborah Lippmann I was fairly certain that was going to be the end of any DL polishes I was ever going to own. Well apparently I was wrong, a while back I believe Sephora was having a sale... I think? or maybe I was just biting the bullet and grabbing some lemmings (umm hello Illamasqua Phallic) actually yeah I was probably just going a bit nuts and Wicked is one of my fave musicals, I have wonderful memories of going to see it in London with my best friend. (My mind has conveniently chosen to forget how bad my feet were killing me that day after trekking around in brand new heels, although Nicole being the wonderful person she is swapped shoes with me for the walk home)

Anyways so this set was calling my name. As does the TrueBlood sets, but those are harder to come by.

Rainbow Honey - The Power of Love

Hey guys,

So I totally dropped the ball yesterday I meant to post a collection in honor of the season finale of Sons of Anarchy but guess what? I totally forgot the day off work totally threw me for a loop and threw off my groove. So I will post that soon, sorry I suck I know.

Anyways here is the last Bronycon polish. The coverage on this was a lot better than I initially expected which is why this wound up looking a bit funny as a gradient. Whoops, it actually looked a lot better in person. This is 2 coats (ring finger) over RH - Believe in Pink

Revlon - Whimsical

Hey guys,

So I've spent the day curled up on the couch, sick days are so bittersweet, on the one hand it's nice to just sit and snooze all day, on the other hand you're sick. So that sucks. At least I'm feeling better now so yay for that.

So these pictures make me go holy crap my nails were long (I haven't been able to get that length on my pinky for over a month now.) They also make me go "I should have used a base colour" Oh well hindsight. I expected this to be a bit more opaque. Overall I found it to be decent application aside from the sheerness

This is 4 coats.

Rainbow Honey - The Changeling Queen

Hey guys,

So the snow is OUT OF CONTROL here, okay not super crazy bad but put it this way, my brother spent a couple hours outside snow blowing and by the time he was done he probably could have started over. Oh Canadian winters.

Anyways like Muffins! The Changeling Queen is part of Rainbow Honey's limited release Bronycon polishes. Named after Queen Chrysalis I think this is awesome, Here I layered it over OPI's Here Today Aragon Tomorrow.
This is 2 coats.

Zoya - Josie

Hey guys,

So I have spent all day baking and am absolutely exhausted. I can't wait to finally sit down and just paint my nails and relax.

So I just have a pretty green here for the first day of December. Oh Zoya, how I love thee. I swear Zoya never lets me down formula wise. This was nice and smooth and two coats. Removal didn't leave me with green fingers either.
