Illamasqua - Aorta

Hey guys,

So I had really intended on posting something yesterday however I also feel I should have known better. I spent a good portion of the day yesterday getting my tattoo worked on, and anyone who has spent more than a couple hours under a tattoo machine knows that as soon as you're finished and you get home you're pretty much out of commission for the day. Anyways so I was super cool and went to bed at 9:00 yesterday.

Today I have a polish that Nicole bought me that I pretty much freaked out about. It's one of Illamasqua's new rubber finish polishes. Plus it's red which we all know I love.
The finish on this does remind me of rubber boots. For my first Illamasqua polish I love it!
Two polished thumbs up for Nicole (again)

This is also the perfect polish for Remembrance Day.

Fuzzy Sweater Stripes

Hey guys,

So I know today there is a No H8 campaign going on in the blogosphere. I completely missed the boat on it though and while totally supporting it didn't have any purple manicures in my drafts folder. And my manicure for tomorrow is blue. So maybe you guys will forgive me because this manicure has purple in it? That being said it shouldn't matter anyways because it's the point not the colour that matters.

So enough is enough. Time to end bullying.

This is my Fuzzy Sweater Striped manicure.
I used a dotter to make these stripes and as a result it reminds me a but of a fuzzy sweater.
I used
A England - Dragon
A England  - Tristam
A England - Lady of the Lake

Stride Equine Manicure

Hey guys,

So for those of you who don't know, I own/ride/show Arabian horses. My two boys are Breezer & Timmi, and my coach's company/show team is Stride Equine. A couple weeks ago we had a photo shoot that turned out great.
Here are a couple of my favourite shots

So this was a manicure I had done for a show meeting we were having.
Our team colours are Black & Maroon. (Burgundy? Whatever)

For this I used

Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers - Black Pearl
Nicole by OPI - Shoot for the Maroon

GOSH - Boot Camp

Hey guys,

So I need to share my new addiction with you guys. Now I resisted this for a long time but I've finally given in. New Girl. Seriously it's ridiculous but I can't stop watching it. I'm not a huge Zooey Deschanel fan but everything else in this show makes up for the little bit of dislike I have for her.

So I picked this colour up a couple weeks ago. I love it. Apparently "Special Edition" caught my eye. This is a great Khaki shimmer.

Fall Leaves

Hey guys,

Last month I talked about doing a post of my favourite fall colours. Well seeing as Halloween rolled around it just seemed more appropriate to push it back to the end of November.  So I guess there is that to look forward to.

Also with November comes the return of one of my FAVOURITE events. Can anyone guess? That's right. Movember! So to anyone who reads this. Do all the men in your life a favourite and donate to a MoBro today! And enjoy all the moustaches running around!

For this I used

OPI - Warm & Fozzie
Orly Instant Artist - Light As A Feather
Orly Instant Artist - Lovey Dovey
Orly Instant Artist - Jet Black

8 Days of Halloween - Day 8 - Vamp Gradient

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

So I hope everyone is having a Happy and SAFE Halloween!

I was totally panicking over this manicure, I couldn't figure out how I wanted to go with this. After some creative input from Chelsea this is what I came up with. These are my Vamp nails. Pretty much what I would do my nails like if I were a badass vampire.
I tried a crackle gradient and it turned out looking super cool.

For this I used

NYX - Blood
China Glaze - Black Mesh

Normally I would have colour corrected this photos a bit but the polish looks true-to-life and my skin looks eerily vampiric, (yes I am that pale) so it seemed fitting for halloween.

8 Days of Halloween - Day 7 - Spiderweb

Hey guys,

So tomorrow is Halloween. I hope everyone is excited!
I still have lots to do so unfortunately there won't be much to this post.

This wasn't exactly what I pictured when I started out on this mani but I really like the way this turned out.
Can't wait to show you guys tomorrow's nails.

For this I used
China Glaze - Haunting
Orly Instant Artist - Crisp White
