TV Inspired: One Tree Hill

Hey guys,

So today's manicure belongs to my all time favourite show One Tree Hill, I've talked about this before (heck I did a whole OTH series last year. I still can't believe this is the first TV season without it. I really can't think too hard about it or I get all choked up (I was pretty damn committed, even have an OTH inspired tattoo)
Anyways so I wanted this to be different than any of the manicures I did last year. So this one is a bit more artsy. This was my first time trying out striping tape. So far in my opinion it's kind of a pain. It worked well on the black polish but wanted to pull up the white.

For this I used
OPI - Call Me Gwen-ever
NYX - Sunset Blvd
Bed Head - Master Mind
NYX - Titanic
Sally Hansen - Black Out

TV Inspired: Chuck

Hey guys,
So quick blurb before I get into today's post.
If you haven't noticed already I have posted a link to my stash spreadsheet in the pages above. It's not as detailed as my spreadsheet I keep on my desktop and there really isn't any ryhme or reason to the way I split it up by sheets. I'll probably continually be tweaking this so keep checking. Or don't thats cool too, I promise I won't be mad.
Second is that I have grand plans to make up a few of my own indie polishes, I haven't decided whether I want to make them for mass consumption or not, it'll really depend on how things work out. I already have all my ideas and inspirations in place. To start I'm only making 4 different ones, and I've only gotten enough to make 4 bottles of each (didn't want to get in over my head) So watch for swatches some time in March!
To the polish! Today's manicure is inspired by none other than one of my Top 10 fave shows of all time. Chuck there is just nothing about that show I don't love. It's another one that should have lasted longer, but on the flip-side at least this way it didn't wind up burnt out like so many great shows.

For this I used
Bed Head - Master Mind
Island Girl - "Tarzan"
Essie - Lacquered Up
Orly Instant Artist in Jet Black & Crisp White
Art Club - Yellow
Quo Instant Artist - Red

TV Inspired: Doctor Who

Hey guys,

Today's manicure is Doctor Who I am a huge Doctor Who fan, and if you follow me on Pinterest or Instagram you'll know this (and obviously if you know me in person) I have a TARDIS bobble buddy on my monitor at work, along with a handmade charging station that I made. The rule is pretty much if it's got anything to do with a Time Lord I'm all over it. Plus I'll never get back all the tears I've cried over that show.

For this manicure I kept it pretty simple, I used a couple DW inspired (or just named) polishes and then I have (half of) the TARDIS, the new logo and then the 11th Doctor's bowtie.

For this I used:
OPI - Dating A Royal
Cult Nails - Time Traveler
Dollish Polish - It's Bigger On The Inside
Bed Head - Master Mind
China Glaze - Mahogany Magic
Orly Instant Artist in True Blue, Jet Black & Crisp White
Quo Instant Artist - Red

TV Inspired: Greek

Hey guys,

So today's TV mani is based on the ABC Family show (that didn't last NEARLY long enough) Greek
I loved this show, great characters, fun storyline and lets be honest: Scott Michael Foster and Jake McDorman are cuties!

So for this I featured the three main Greek houses of the show, Zeta Beta Zeta, Kappa Tau Gamma, Omega Chi Delta. And then one lesser fraternity Lambda Sigma Omega. So I scoured the web and found the Greek House colours (or at least according to the Greek wiki anyways)

It's not my best but it was fun and it gave me a really good excuse to pop in a Greek dvd and swoon over Cappie.

For this I used
OPI - Ogre The Top Blue
OPI - Pedal Faster Suzi
China Glaze - Lemon Fizz
China Glaze - Mahogany Magic
Zoya - Skylar
Zoya - LC
A England - Holy Grail (Original)
Orly Instant Artist in Crisp White, Lovey Dovey
Quo Instant Artist - Red

TV Inspired: American Restoration

Hey guys,

So when it comes to TV I will watch almost anything (anything but Cake Boss.... I can't stand him) one of my favourite channels is the History Channel, with Pawn Stars, American Pickers & American Restoration, they've hit the jackpot (Counting Cars is great too) so this manicure is dedicated to my favourite of the three: American Restoration I love watching them bring stuff back to life. Plus Tyler & Brettly are pretty adorable too.

So for this manicure if you watch the show you should be able to appreciate this.
the index finger is the old rusted Coke machine, the middle is the Coke machine sandblasted. The ring finger is the Coke machine painted. The pinky is the final product.

For this I used
Essie - Turning Heads Red
China Glaze - Desert Sun
China Glaze - Hook and Line
Orly Instant Artist - Crisp White
Quo Instant Artist - Red

TV Inspired: Arrow

Hey guys,

So my manicure for you today is inspired by the show Arrow
This show is going to be wrapping up it's first season in a few weeks and I am a big fan. First off, I'm obviously a big superhero fan, and Second: Helloooooo Stephen Amell is gorgeous! And Canadian!

For this one I wanted to keep it simple, simple and dark. We just have the arrow, the bullseye/crosshairs and then the show logo. And obviously green because he is the Green Arrow.

For this I used

OPI - Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow
Orly Instant Artist in Leafy Green, Crisp White, Jet Black, Rockin Robin, Lovey Dovey, Light As A Feather.

TV Inspired: New Girl

Hey guys,

So up today we have a New Girl inspired manicure. For the longest time there was no way you would get me to watch New Girl, I wanted nothing to do with it. Yes I love Max Greenfield but not enough to watch this show. Well I finally caved in to peer pressure and it really did not take that long before I was completely obsessed with it. And then one day while my friends and I were sitting on our horses chilling in the middle of the arena talking about New Girl and my coach pointed this out

Yep, Rock was Schmidt the douchey but good hearted one. Breezer was Nick, the defacto leader. Dodger was Winston, the token black dude. It's a true story.

Anyways this mani comes from Jess' rant about touching glitter and rocking a lot of polka dots.

For this I used
Nails Inc - Carnaby Street
Sephora by OPI - It's Totally Karma
Sally Hansen - Black Out
Zoya - Whitney
OPI - Fly
Bed Head - Mastermind
