China Glaze - You Drive Me Coconuts

Hey guys,

So has anyone watched The Rock's reality show the hero? There was a marathon on Monday so I got the chance to watch it all. That idea of trust and tempation, ugh it's crazy and who knows what you would actually do if some one said "You can take the money but you screw your team"
I also started bawling when The Rock asked the lady who is scared of heights to climb to the top of the building then climb those unfinished stairs. Oh man I probably would have cried and puked... Then ran into the Rock's strong muscular arms. Just saying, how can you not love him?

Today I have the next jelly. This one while still super bright isn't as punch you in the eyeballs bright.
This one also had a much more opaque formula perhaps the best of all the jellies.
This was 3 coats.

China Glaze - Heat Index

Hey Guys,

So back when Dad was sick my good friend Chelsea sent me a message asking what she should get on NPC. So of course my response was "Uhhh what are you looking for?" Then she said "No, what do YOU want?" Oh well so then I started racking my brain for collections I wanted but hadn't bought. So I just said China Glaze Sunsational! Well she surprised me with the whole set of JELLIES.

China Glaze - That's Shore Bright

Hey guys,

So before we start we need some geek conversation - Yesterday they announced the 12th Doctor (if you don't know what I'm talking about just skip this paragraph) part of me is bummed because I loved the last few doctors and the way they were taking it a bit younger. I would have LOVED them to continue in that vein HOWEVER do I think Moffatt made the wrong choice? No. The guy is a bloody genius, he knows what he's doing. So I'm just putting my trust in him that the 12th Doctor will be just as amazing as the rest and I will mourn the loss of Matt Smith just like I mourned for David Tennant and Christopher Eccleston.

Welcome to China Glaze's Sunsational Week! I have ALL the jellies (courtesy of my lady Chelsea) and then one creme which I will show you today because I love it SO much.

First off I can't say this polish without falling into an Aussie accent. Here's a fun tidbit, Australian teen shows are my guilty pleasure. True story.

So this is such a beautiful, summertime purple. As far as application went I found this to be a tad on the patchy side yet still not hard to work with. I did three thin-ish coats for good measure.

Julep - Zora

Hey guys,

Yay more random Juleps! Seriously what would I do without people who feed my addiction?
The nerd brain in me is a collector with ZERO impulse control, so thank goodness my obsessive collecting behavior has always led me in a direction of: Movies, Music, Nail Polish. As opposed to drinking or drugs or anything else destructive because I would be SCREWED.

So this colour is super pretty and feminine and delicate but MAN does it HATE my skintone.
This was two coats, the shimmer makes brush strokes obvious so you just have to be careful.
I would love to see this polish on someone with a different less albino skin tone.

Julep - Hilary

Hey guys,

So I don't know if this happens to anyone else but usually when I see or hear a name of polish I immediately attribute it to someone or a character of the same name. So when I saw Hilary I was immediately reminded of Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, I'm not sure why it's her and not Hilary Duff who comes to mind but whatever it's my mind.

Hilary is a gold/rose gold glitter in a black tinted base. This polish seems very New Years Eve to me for some reason. The glitter pay off way great.
This is two coats over a gold polish.

Julep - Lucy

Hey guys,

So there is no secret vampy red polishes, or just red polishes, or vampy polishes - are my favourite. If I was forced to wear only one shade of polish for the rest of my life I would probably choose a dark vampy red probably similar to this one. I like the jelly squishiness of this polish. Reminds me a lot of blood, perfect for vampire manicures.

This was three coats and this is still a bit sheer I didn't mind but it depends what look you're going for.

Julep - Korin

Hey guys,

So I have a fun green polish to show you guys. A month or two ago my bestie Nicole dropped off a bunch of random Juleps for me. This one was a total bitch to photograph -
Omg okay so speaking of total bitches did anyone see this week's episode of Ink Master?? First off I would like to say that I think any sort of competition like that is not an ideal tattooing environment, and that if you are going INTO a situation like that to get tattooed you basically have to be willing to let the artist do what they think is best with what you want while knowing FULL WELL that you may end of with something not quite like what you had in mind. That being said James Danger was hands down my fave contestant and was great about not getting into house drama or fights or anything like that so when he wound up with a completely unreasonable client who managed to needle a really laid back guy to the point where he felt like a cornered animal. He totally should not have been sent home for that. Ugh I'm so annoyed and I want to SLAP that girl. I get you don't want something you aren't happy with on your body but give the poor guy a chance to breathe.

Okay so back to the polish at hand. This is a crazy bright Kermit green that did NOT want to leave my fingers behind. Application however was a breeze.
This is two coats.
