OPI - I'm Brazil Nuts Over You

Hey guys,

So I had a wonderful morning out at the farm, got some sweet snuggles from my pony, lots of puppy kisses, and even some little kid cuddles. Of course there was chaos when the boys accidentally let the dogs out of the run and Sam got into the chicken coop and tried to eat a chicken. Don't worry the chicken is fine, maybe a little bit terrified but she'll live.

Also from OPI's Brazil liquid sand collection is this pretty hot pink. This is very much the same sugar texture as Samba-dy Loves Purple. This one was a bit more sheer than the other one. This is three coats.

OPI - Samba-dy Loves Purple

Hey guys,

Rant warning. Feel free to skip down to the polish. You've been warned:
So right now #EndFathersDay is trending on Twitter and I find this horribly sad and personally quite hurtful. Some people are saying that Father's Day is supporting rape culture and all sorts of other ridiculous things. First off, people it's a hallmark holiday LITERALLY created to sell ties and greeting cards during the war when business was down. Second, like any holiday if you don't like it STOP CELEBRATING IT, no one is forcing you to have ANYTHING to do with Father's Day. It's the whole guns don't kill people, people kill people thing. I mean don't get me wrong there are some HORRIBLE people out there but how is it fair to let a small margin of people ruin it for everyone.
Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of the day my Dad passed away, yeah right before Father's Day. Great timing Dad. My Dad was the greatest man I have ever known, he was my closest friend. He supported me in every single thing I ever did and was likely the sole reason I turned out to be the person I am (not to give my mom no credit but in all seriousness her and I are nothing alike) The whole End Fathers Day thing makes me really sad and frankly I think it's stupid. I'm pro Father's Day.

Moving on to the polish of the day. This is a bright fuschia liquid sand from OPI's Brazil spring collection. This is more purple and less pinky in real life. As far as textured polishes go this is more of the sugary and less straight up gritty ones. Standard liquid sand application here. This is two coats,

Julep - Francis

Hey guys,

So I'll be making this short and sweet seeing as it's late and I am super tired, I hope everyone is looking forward to Friday and now ON TO THE MAIN EVENT.

Yay I have another green Julep, actually Julep had a special red marker sale today that was supposed to be epic and you had to RSVP if you wanted early access. They totally shat the bed, like the sale was open way before the link went out and it was the same boring polish that is ALWAYS on sale. Did that stop me from picking something up? Nope but still get your act together Julep, I still haven't gotten my maven box for the month.

So this is a celery green polish, I actually wore all three greens from this week together in the same manicure I liked it. Application here was good. This was two coats.

Julep - Kessie

Hey guys,

So I had an action packed day, you know sometimes I look at my arms and legs and wonder why the heck I am covered in random bruises, then I spend one evening out at the farm with my coach's family and remember why. Wrestling with kids on a trampoline and then getting mauled with love by giant puppy dogs. Yup that'll make me bruise like a peach.

On today's edition of On Wednesday's We Wear Pink I have a very pretty pink with gold shimmer polish. I love this, I think It was billed as orchid but it's a bit more pinky thank the other orchids we've seen. Application was a tad on the sheer side, this was three coats.

Julep - Hannah

Hey guys,

So today I went to Home Depot to get stain for the wood plaques I'm making. Now I'm going to preface this by saying I have never stained anything before. I'm fairly excited though. I just stained the backs of the plaques so we will see how things look tomorrow when I do the second coat. The lady at Home Depot seemed very skeptical that I would be able to do this on my own. Pfft. I'll show her.

Today I have another green Julep to show you, this time around it's a sagey green. I was noticing a lot of people whining that this isn't a sage green, honestly looks sage green to me but I have gotten into heated debates about different greens with my coworker so I am just inclined to let people believe whatever the heck they want to. Application here was a bit on the more sheer side. This is three coats.

Julep - Courteney

Hey guys,

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, I thought I would have time to post in the evening but the night just wound up getting away from me. Yesterday I decided to take up Pyrography as a bit of a hobby (doesn't that just sound cool??) and impressively only burnt the absolute crap out of my finger once which I find rather impressive because I'm pretty impatient and when working with really hot tools, impatience is NOT good. Anyways turns out it's pretty cool. By no means can I do anything too fancy but I have been making stall signs for the horses in my barn, so far I've been pretty excited about the result.

I have a very springy green to show you today, this is a bright lime green. I was actually really pleased with this green, as I don't have much exactly like this in my collection. I have a lot of slightly lighter polishes and lots of brighter greens. Nice application here too. This is two coats.

Julep - Karen

Hey guys,

So today I watched "The Normal Heart" the HBO movie about the AIDS outbreak in the 80's holy crap. Talk about a powerful movie, if you can get your hands on it, I recommend it. Amazing performances from everyone involved. I mean don't get me wrong it is heavy, but a really good watch. Truly heartbreaking.

I've made it known I'm really not a huge fan of peach polish, while pretty peach just screams "90's wedding" to me, or like a "mom" polish. I guess peach has it's place though. Although while there is nothing technically wrong with this peach frost, it just doesn't excite me. This is two coats.
